A Garden Made for Entertaining is a family garden in Cobham with two places to entertain: the terrace outside the orangery, and a 3 × 6 metre pergola with an outdoor kitchen further into the garden, where the sun stays longest.
A curving brick path joins the two through deep borders, and multi-stem Himalayan birches bring the height of the tall trees around the garden down to the planting. It was completed in three months.
Around thirty established roses from the family’s original garden were lifted and replanted, so the old garden lives on in the new one.
